This looked a lot better in my head. Seems to be the way most things are.
"Link's Awakening" was one of the first Zelda games I played when I was a kid, and I always wanted to paint the Wind Fish because it was the most epic thing ever. Finally got around to it, only took me a decade or so!
This is something I would love painted on my ceiling. xP The smooth transitions of color based off of the sunlight is so nice. It gives me a calming/sleepy effect. That's why I find this so fitting. Link believed the adventure was a dream until this part happens. I feel like the only way to make this art even more stunning is if it were in 3D or ocean sounds. I like the detail in the clouds. It makes the artwork look more busy and definetly worth looking at. I could just imagine that one of the seagulls is Marin flying with the windfish. The windfish itself looks so prestigious with his tiny wings. ^^ Overall fav!
*Link watches, in awe of the majestic creature soaring above him* 0_o; *Then realizes he's still stuck in the middle of the ocean on nothing more than two pieces of flotsam*
"Hey, get back here, you jerk! I saved you from eternal slumber, don't just leave me behind!"
This is beautiful! Link's awakening is, to this day, still my favourite Zelda Game. But I love the colours and the ripples in the ocean and just....the detail is just lovely Seriously, if this was a print, I would buy it.
Well! Lucky you, it IS a print! Just not through dA. It's in the comments of the image if you're really that interested, but don't worry I'm not pressuring you
I think it's a tie with this game and Ocarina of Time. It's just so hard to choose between them which one is my favourite! And thank you so much, I'm honoured
Oh my, this is beautiful! I had fond memories of playing Link's Awakening when it first came out almost 20 years ago and my first fanfic was based off this series. Anyway, I love the way you blended the colors in this picture. I think that after the fish awoke, Link somehow drifted back to Hyrule on his tiny raft.
